Tech Shanghai Advocates is a collection of tech leaders, experts, investors and entrepreneurs uniting to form the most influential independent, private sector group in East and South China.

TSA membership is open to anyone, and the group has no joining or membership fees, but Advocates invite Advocates.

To join the group, you will need to be introduced to executive board and chairman’s office, John, Founder and Chairman of Tech Shanghai Advocates (either via email or in person), by a current Advocate. TSA executive board will explain the purpose, goals and various elements of Tech Shanghai Advocates to you – such as the Working Groups.

Once you have been introduced to the group, you will officially become an Advocate. This will entitle you to access the network of over 7,000 tech leaders in over 50 countries worldwide, attend Tech Shanghai Advocates events and participate in TSA Working Groups. You will also have an official listing on the Tech Shanghai Advocates website. There is no time commitment or minimum engagement required to being an Advocate; you can participate in and engage with the group as much or as little as you like. There are however three asks of each Advocate, irrespective of their level of engagement:

  • To be ‘on message’ about the tech sector in Shanghai and the rest of China
  • When ready, help expand the TSA network by introducing an Advocate
  • Adopt the ethos of helping one another for the ‘greater good’ as a means of establishing a strong and vibrant technology sector

If you are not yet an Advocate and would like to be so, please contact an existing Advocate you know who will bring you into the group.  Also, you could email and show your interests.
